Wanda "Dena" Underwood

Wanda “Dena” Underwood, 82, of Soddy Daisy, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 22, 2019. She was a faithful member of Daisy Church of God. She loved her church and her church family. She was also especially close to a group of ladies that meant the world to her. Thank you for all the cards, calls, prayers, and support everyone at Daisy Church of God has shown. She loved spending time with her family and reading her Bible. She will be dearly missed.

Dena is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Noel Underwood; son, Mike; granddaughter, Kristina; parents, James and Lucille Morgan; and brothers, JR, Ed, and Jack Morgan.

She is survived by her daughter, Teri (Kirby) Scott; grandson, Michael; granddaughter, Abby; and sisters, Helen Gates and Frances (Pete) White; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Special thanks to Dr. Glenn Newman for all the years of wonderful compassion and care you have shown. Much love to the nurses and others at Hospice of Chattanooga.

Services will be held at Daisy Church of God on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Caleb Bolton presiding. Dena will lie in state from 12:00 to the time of the service on Friday. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at the funeral home.
