Theresa Prouty Smallen

Theresa Prouty Smallen, 60, passed away on April 7, 2021.

Theresa was born in Beaumont, TX and moved to Chattanooga as a teenager. She graduated from Lakeview High school and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in nursing. She was a dedicated nurse for 34 years, as well as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and soulmate. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with loved ones and was a professional amateur decorator.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Prouty, Jr. and Glennice Bruce Stebbins.

Survivors are her soulmate, Jeff Hudson; children, Seth (Kari) Smallen, Jana (Phillip) Robertson and Erin (Corey) Quarles; brother, Phil Prouty III; sister, Athena Barta; grandchildren, Judson, Kadence, Garrett and Kai; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the funeral home. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Hamilton County Memorial Park.
