Sara Lane Brown, age 73, of Chattanooga and formerly of Dayton Mountain, passed away July 27, 2019. She was the oldest of nine children born to Alva Clyde and Willie Grace Lane. She was a 1964 graduate of Rhea Central High School. She had worked at Robinson Manufacturing in Pikeville and Daytona Restaurant in Dayton. Sara is preceded in death by her parents, brother Buster Lane, and grandparents, Billy and Jane Worthington.
Survivors are her husband of 39 years, Willis Brown (formerly of Soddy Daisy), daughter, Angela Brewer; stepsons, Robert Jeffrey (Missi Spurgin) Brown and William Tracy Brown (Lee Sutcliffe); sisters, Peggy (Claude) Smith and Georgia (Danny) Ables; brothers, Rocky (Shirley), Phillip, Larry (Rita), Gary, and Troy (Lisa) Lane. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Brenda (Ronnie) Fitts and Carolyn (Mike) Eddings and brothers-in-law, Herbert (Pat), Wayne (Sharon) and Billy (Tina) Brown; aunt, Gladys (George) Heard; uncles, Coy and Carlos (Marie) Worthington; as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sara was a beautiful lady who loved her husband Willis with all her heart. She loved her family and friends dearly and will be greatly missed. Her hobbies included wood painting, creating flower arrangements, cooking, and thrift stores.

Services will be held on Wednesday July 31, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Jewell presiding. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday July 30, 2019.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her husband for final expenses.
