Russell Johnson

Russell Johnson, 94, passed away on May 7, 2021. He was a member of Falling Water Baptist. He was a WWII veteran of the US Navy. Russell was a 60+ year member of Daisy Lodge F&A 706.  He was retired from Dupont after 34 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Evelyn Johnson and a granddaughter, Cressa Atwood.

He is survived by his children, Linda (Julian) Atwood, Garland (Dana) Johnson, Gary (Colleen) Johnson and Michael (Maria) Johnson; sister, Gladys Frizzell; brother, Carl (Bess) Johnson; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews; as well as a special friend, Jewel Lovelady.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at the funeral home and after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tommy Taylor presiding. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery. His grandsons will be pallbearers.
