Mildred “Lucille” Grayson Miller, 93, of Soddy Daisy, passed away on June 1, 2018 at her daughter’s home. She was employed with Signal Knitting Mill, Daisy Silk Mill, was co-owner of Millers Grocery, and played piano for many churches. She was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Forrest Miller, parents, J.A. and Elizabeth Grayson, brothers, Albert and Lewis Grayson, and a sister, Cecile Pickett.
She is survived by her daughters, Rita (Kenneth) Varner and Delorese (Bill) Uren, and five grandchildren, Kevin Varner, Emily (Gary) Alexander, Kristie (Scott) Ericson, Philip (Amy) Varner, and Melanie (Brian) Luttrell. She is also survived by, seven great grandchildren, a brother, James E. Grayson, a sister, Martha Howard, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Bishop Rick Smith presiding. Grandsons, Kevin and Philip Varner, Gary and Garrett Alexander, Scott Ericson, Brian Luttrell will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the funeral home.
