Louis Arnold Smith

Louis A. Smith, 92, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee passed away peacefully August 3, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Louis is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Madge Elizabeth. Four children: Grant and (Joy) Smith, Barry Smith, Jane and Troy Snyder, Mark and Donna Smith. Twelve Grandchildren: Heather and Seth Rogers, Stacy Smith, Brad Snyder, Parker Smith, Josh Smith, Alicia and Brandon Guinn, Jerod Smith, Bethany and Craig Waters, Phillip and Carlee Snyder, Molly and Derek St. John, Isaac Smith, Benjamin and Hannah Smith. Nine Great Grandchildren: Aaron Rogers, Aubrey Guinn, Olivia Rogers, Alexis Guinn, Isabella Smith, Sarai Guinn, Zoe Guinn, Hudson Snyder, and Bryson Snyder.

With the Lord being foremost in his life, Louis was a member of the Rhea church of Christ. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and worked for the US Postal Service for 43 years. He loved gardening, hunting, and fishing with his beloved family. He enjoyed watching the Trojans, the Braves and the Vols, but loved watching and supporting his many children and grandchildren in whatever sport they were playing. In 92 years, Louis touched the lives of so many people always giving of himself in so many ways and never expecting anything in return except their friendship.

He will always be remembered as the greatest friend, husband, father and papaw!

Visitation is Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with services following at 2:00 P.M. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Scott Wilson and Jason McElhaney officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the nurses at Hearth Hospice, especially Nurse Jessica that took special care of our dad.
