John Ford Holden

John F. Holden, 73, passed away on June 6, 2019. He was a member of Soddy Church of Christ. John was retired from the U.S. Coast Guard and was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps after 20 years of active service and serving in Vietnam.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Holden.

Survivors include his sons, John (Natalie) W. Holden of Chattanooga and Richard Holden of Ohio; daughter, Karen (Shane) Forgey of Harrison, TN; and grandsons, Hayden and Ross Forgey and Nathaniel Holden.

Graveside services will be held, with military honors, at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019 with Minister Joel Danley presiding. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the funeral home.
