Jim Martin

James William “Jim” Martin, 75, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on July 3, 2018. He was born in Dunlap and lived most of his life in Soddy-Daisy. Jim was a member of Christ Family Church. He retired from DuPont and also worked as a carpenter. Jim worked at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home the last few years. He enjoyed reading books, playing dominoes and drinking coffee and talking with his friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Martin; brother, George Martin and sister, Jo Austin.

Survivors include his sons, Troy Martin and Anthony Martin; brother, Robert Martin (Diane); sister, Katherine Bone (Andrew); grandchildren, Ashley Counts (Joey) and Travis Martin (Chelsea); great grandchildren, Owen, Reagan and Charlie and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Calvin Nunley officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
