Gary Cooper

In loving memory of Gary George Cooper, born March 1, 1948 in Washington State and passed away May 10, 2022 at his home in Hixson, Tennessee with his loving wife, Theresa “Terri” Cooper by his side.

He grew up in Neodesha, Kansas and enlisted into the United States Army in 1967 at age seventeen. He served 3 ½ tours in Vietnam, where he was wounded and honorably discharges in 1970. His service meant the world to him, he has always been service committed. His father and two brothers served in the United States Navy. For many years, he was involved with the family business, Cooper Furniture in Neosho, Missouri.

His parents, George Milton Cooper and Virginia Margaret Mansfield and a daughter, Stephanie Davis, preceded him in death.

Gary is survived by his wife, Theresa “Terri” Cooper; his children, Michelle Moesteller, Morgan Baker and Christopher Davis; sisters, Robin Blevins, Gayle Morgan and Joyce Mc, McNearney; brothers, Steve Cooper and Ray Cooper; grandchildren, Shawn & Maxwell Frye, Kiara, Kolton and Kasen Baker, William Davis, Anthony and Dominick Clausen and a great-grandchild, River Baker.

Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in Dayton National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio with Military Honors.
