Edna Thurman

Edna Lee Thurman, of Hixson, TN, went home to be with her Lord, July 5, 2018, thirty days before her Ninety Ninth Birthday. She was a member of Christ Family Church. Edna and her sister owned and operated Thurman’s Upholstery for forty years. Her life centered on her family and she will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Sanford Thurman; three children, Gerald Thurman, Larry Thurman and Norma Jean Taylor and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Quillen (Dolores) Thurman, Leslie Thea Thurman; brother, Wendel (Mary Lou) Swafford, twenty one grandchildren, twenty six great-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday. Services will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Bishop Calvin Nunley officiating. Burial will follow in Winnie Cemetery at 2:30 E.S.T. Sunday.
