Carolyn Jean "Tex" Jones

Carolyn Jean “Tex” Jones, 76, passed away at her home on September 24, 2020. She loved spending time with her family, especially her great great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William P. “Bill” Jones; son, Tom Millsaps; sister, Diane Meready; parents, Dock and Hazel Swaney; brothers, Dock Swaney Jr. and Duck Swaney; and stepsibling, Mavis Butler, James Butler, Bob Butler, Bill Butler and Chuck Butler.

Survivors are her siblings, Billy Heath, Pete (Wanda) Swaney, LouAnna Crocker and Janice Lambert; step siblings, Nadine Drake and CJ Butler; special sister in law, Jewell Jones; nieces and nephews, Steve (Darlene) Jones, Alan Jones, Greg (Linda) Jones, Karen (Curtis) Roddy, Julia (Tommy) Doss, and Kellie (Richard) Aslinger; brother in law, John Meready; as well as several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews that loved her very much.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the funeral home. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2020 with Rev. Carl Hunsucker presiding. Burial will follow at Welsh-Rogers Cemetery.
