Carol Hawkins

Carol May Hawkins, 69, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 28, 2020. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Carol was a caregiver to many children at Kid’s Care Learning Center at North Chattanooga Church of God. She enjoyed walking and was a very active person. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lois May; sisters, Sandra Pickett and Linda Smith.

Survivors are her husband of 50 years, Junior Hawkins; daughters, Robin Coffman and Melanie Benson (Will); grandchildren, Madeline Benson, Tori Benson and Ben Coffman; brothers-in-law, Phil Smith and H.T. Pickett; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020 and Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Blake Freeman officiating. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
