Benjamin Thigpen, 59, passed away on September 2, 2020. He was an avid fishermen, loved to play pool and loved spending time at the cabins in the Smokey Mountains. He loved most of all spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Estelene Thigpen and sisters, Janice Thigpen and Debra Ann Gillman.
Survivors are his sister, Sheila (Edward) White; brothers, Joe Thigpen, Charles (Dorothy) Thigpen, Bobby (Mary) Thigpen and Edward Earl (Kimberly) Thigpen; daughters, Michelle (Benito) Badillo and Ashley (Javier) Moreno; son, Johnny West; grandchildren, Brittany (Pablo) Lorraine Thigpen, Angela (Antonio), Erica (Walker), Maria, Gracie, Julianna, Benjamin, Bethany, Olivia, Aliyah, Bianca, Rhianna, Yana, and Dilacia; nieces and nephews, Toni Anderson, Crystal Reed, Skylar Henley; as well as his wife, Betty Thigpen.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. (CST) at Hill Cemetery in Killen, AL.
