Ella Hixson Mills

Ella Louise Hixson Mills, 87, passed away at a local nursing home on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ida Hixson. She was retired from Dupont after 39 years, graduated from Soddy Daisy High School, and was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church but she attended Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle in her later years in order to be closer to her home.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Morris Mills and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at in the funeral home chapel on Sunday January 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., with Jeff Gann presiding. Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday January 20, 2018.
