Ella Joy Burroughs

Joy Burroughs, 72 of Soddy Daisy, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Joy was a member of Christ Family Church. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Hubert and Beady Porter of Soddy Daisy, and a brother, Allen Porter.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Bobby Burroughs, her children, Tim, Tammy and Paul Burroughs; all of Soddy Daisy, her sisters, Janice Fowler, Debra Loomis, and Patricia Jones; all of Soddy Daisy, as well as Connie Johnson of Talladega, AL, and brother, Carl Porter of Soddy Daisy. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Holly Burroughs of Hixson, Kamry and Kolby Cardin of Soddy Daisy, and three great grandchildren. A special thanks to her cousin, Mary Wright, for her loving care.

Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m with Pastor Calvin Nunley presiding. Burial to follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018.
