Jake Stanford

Beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother and Friend, William “Jake” Stanford, of Falling Water passed quietly into the presence of his Heavenly Father on May 1, 2019. He was 28. He had the most kind, gentle, and giving spirit and will be missed by many who knew and loved him. In his passing, his last act of giving and kindness was the gift of life to many through organ donation.
He attended Falling Water Elementary, Soddy Daisy Middle, and was a member of the Class of 2009 at Hixson High School where he proudly wore the Wildcat Baseball uniform. He loved the game of baseball, growing up playing recreational baseball, as well as a couple of years of football, at Middle Valley Recreation where his Dad was always his coach. Having such a great love for the game of baseball, Jake continued to play after high school and to date taught pitching, hitting, and fielding to many young boys playing today. Jake was also an avid guitar and violin player.
He attended Chattanooga State where he was ending his degree in Non-Destructive Testing Technology.
Because of his love for the farm, he had just recently become a licensed farmer in the TN Department of Agriculture 2019 Industrial Hemp Pilot Program.

He was formerly employed by Competition Athletic Surfaces, J & J Plumbing, and Texas Road House.
Jake was saved on September 25, 2001 and expressed his love for God openly. He now rests with his loving grandparents, Medrick and Hendrella Fisher Stanford, great grandparents, Cleve and Nell Stanford, and Jake and Gertie Fisher who proceeded him in death.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Brianna Ledford Stanford, son, Bryson Tripp Stanford, and his unborn child due on August 22, step daughters Jayden Wilson and Arabella Ledford, and his loyal dog, Jasmine, father, Robin Stanford (Tomesa Johnson), mother, Amanda Lamb Ralston, sister, Jessica Hughes Dyer (Jason), nephew, Garrett Hughes, niece, Gracie Cordell, grandparents, Claude and Barbara Lamb, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Van Ferguson presiding. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the funeral home and from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, prior to services.
