William Theodore “Bill” Freeman, 80, of Hixson, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 26, 2019. He was a member of The Galilean church.
Bill graduated from Herman High School in Herman, Minnesota, where he lettered in basketball and football. He attended Northwest Bible College in Minot, North Dakota. Bill and his wife were awarded the “Couple of the Year” by the Southern Ohio Church of God where he also served as the local church clerk for 17 years. He worked as a pressman in the printing industry. Bill was a faithful and loving husband, father, a great Papaw and a committed Christian layman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beatrice and Frank A. Freeman and siblings, Lawrence Freeman, Frances Freeman and Sylvia Volker.
Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Phyllis Qualls Freeman; children, Kimberly Freeman Roebuck (David), Kent William Freeman (Daris) and Kyle Lee Freeman (Sherry); grandchildren, Kara Freeman Harrison (Miekal), Amanda Freeman, William Roebuck (Liz), Beth Roebuck Holcomb (Jason) and Joshua Longbrook (Emily); great grandchildren, Karli Harrison, Brooklynn Harrison, Taylor Harrison, Judah Longbrook, Luke Longbrook, Allyssia Holcomb, Josiah Longbrook and other extended family.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David G. Roebuck and Pastor Joe Sneed officiating. The burial will be at Hamilton County Memorial Park.
