Willa Dean Abernathy

Willa Dean Abernathy, 70, of Sale Creek, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018. She was a native of Soddy-Daisy and lived in Sale Creek the last 16 years. She was of the Baptist faith and worked at Magic Market, Golden Gallon and Polly’s Produce. Willa Dean never met a stranger and cared so much about other people. She had a gift to grow pretty flowers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Blanche Abernathy; brother, Harold “Pete” Abernathy and sisters, Joyce Beene and Shelby Bailey.

Survivors are her companion and caregiver, Randall Pemberton; niece Laura Lynn Abernathy Johnson and several other nieces and nephews.

Services will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Carl Hunsucker officiating. Burial will follow at East Soddy Community Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
