Troy Dobbs

Troy Erskine Dobbs, 72, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018. He lived most of his life in Soddy-Daisy and lived on Sand Mountain in Alabama some. He was of the Church of God faith. Troy served his country in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was a retired truck driver. Troy was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Anna Lee Dobbs; grandson, James Robert Edmondson and ex-wife, Wanda Faye Dobbs.

Survivors are his children, Tammy Massingill, Rhonda Dobbs (Rusty Taylor), Troy “T.J.” Dobbs, Jr., Kristy Laughlin (Tim) and Wendy Dobbs (Jason Summers); brothers, Bobby Dobbs (Kay) and Ricky Dobbs (Cindi); grandchildren, Brianna Lynn Dobbs, Haley Marie Dobbs, Brandon Alan Laughlin, Jacob Lee Laughlin, Tyler Scott Summers, Seth Allan Cline, B.J. Daugherty and April Daugherty; great grandchildren, Hayden Wright and Skyler Wright; several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Services will be Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
