Timothy James “Tim” Homerding, 63, of Dunlap, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019. He was of the Catholic faith. Tim served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He retired from Delta Airlines after 34 years of service as an aircraft mechanic. Tim was a world-class fisherman and avid sportsman. He loved spending time with his grandkids, was a beloved father and brother who enjoyed grilling and had a great sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Bill Homerding and mother, Jean.
Survivors are his children, Cy Homerding (Wendy) and Michaela Homerding; mother of his children, Geralyn; grandchildren, Gunner, Holley and Piper Homerding; siblings, Linda Johnson (Dave), Larry Homerding (Beverly) and Gary Homerding (Connie) and Carolyn Homerding; nephews and nieces, Johnny Underwood, Michael and Susie Woodward, Dawn Hubbard (Chuck), Dennis Johnson (Norma), Charlie Homerding, Julie Homerding, Tammy Knight; in-laws, Joe Donner (Diane), Susan Strickland (Wayne) and extended family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
