Shelby Hughes

Shelby Jean Hughes, 86, of Falling Water, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Red Bank. Shelby worked as a cook with the Hamilton County Department of Education in the cafeteria at Red Bank Middle School and also at Red Bank Baptist Church. She was a very Godly mother. Shelby was preceded in death by her husband, Foster Hughes; parents, Paul and Lorene Curvin and sister, Sandra Breedlove.

Survivors are her children, Michael Hughes and Kimberly Wilkie (Hugh); grandchildren, Summer Wilkie and Josh Wilkie; brother, Steve Breedlove; sister, Barbara Janaway; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
