Russell Haynes

Russell Glee Haynes, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. A veteran of the U.S. Army he served his country in the Vietnam War. Russell worked at TVA as a photogrammetrist. He was an avid runner and loved to compete in races. Russell took 1st Place in the Senior Olympics in 2014. He was an avid woodworker and hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Frances Haynes and his niece, Marie Haynes.

Survivors are his wife, Paula Haynes; son, Greg Gamble (Stephanie); daughter, Stephanie Lowe (Noah); brother, Ron Haynes (Vickie); sister, Pat Clark (Dee); grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Evan, Eli and Ellianna; great grandchildren, Noah Lowe and Melody Lowe; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at National Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
