Ronnie Clyde Smith

Ronnie Clyde Smith, 81, passed away peacefully at his home on May 24th 2023 after a long illness. Ronnie was born May 5, 1942, he was retired from Combustion Engineering later known as Alstom after 30 years of service. Ronnie graduated from Chattanooga High School, attended Chattanooga State Community College, as well as proudly served our country and was a Navy Veteran.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Rachel Gertrude Smith; and brother, Garrey Jerome Smith.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Clara Jane Smith; son, Anthony (Tony) Smith (Amanda); daughter, April Turner (Malcolm); 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren all of whom he loved dearly.

The family will host a visitation at the funeral home on Friday, May 26th 2023 from 4 – 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 27th  2023.
