Robert Calvin “R.C.” Fraley, 93, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his home. Born February 3, 1928 and raised in the Oak Hill Community of Rhea County. R.C. moved to Hamilton County when he married the love of his life, Dortha Higgins. R.C. worked at Floorcoverings, INC for 25 years before starting his own business of installing floorcoverings in and around the Chattanooga Area. He loved to travel with his wife, having visited all 48 continental US states. Next to his wife, his children grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was of the Church of God faith. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Dortha Higgins Fraley; his parents, Arvil Lee and Mamie (Dotson) Fraley. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Buck Fraley; sisters, Nola Bishop, Alberta McSpadden and Bobbie Garrison.
He is survived by his sons, Gene (Ellie) Fraley and Glenn Fraley; grandchildren, Robby (Beth) Fraley, Natasha (Glen) Braly, Amanda (Mike) Moshier and Cody (Desiree) Fraley; great grandchildren, Asher Fraley, DeForrest and Nixon Braly, Emerson and Ansley Moshier and Logan and Brooklyn Fraley. He is also survived by his brother, Malcolm Fraley and sisters, Louise Cornett and Aileen Pritchett and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. James Sandell officiating.
