Peggy Wright

Peggy Joyce Wright, 84, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away, Thursday, June 23, 2022. She was of the Baptist faith. Peggy was the best wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother. She gave her all to her family and loved by everyone. Peggy was selfless, caring, thoughtful, humorous, loving, supportive, kind-hearted, friendly, devoted, gentle and generous. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Stephens; parents, Harry and Lee Vandergriff; brothers, Jimmy and Charles Vandergriff; sisters, Frances Compton and June Sims.

Survivors are her husband of 57 years, Gary Wright; children, Roger Stephens, Sonja Stephens, Michelle Wright, Kim Beasley (Tim); several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews and extended family.

Graveside service will be on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with her brother Gene Vandergriff officiating.
