Noel Irwin

Noel Irwin, 82, passed away on June 17, 2019. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was retired from Dupont after 32 years. He was an active member of the Soddy United Methodist Church, holding several positions.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James “Dooley” and Roberta Irwin and his brother, Charles Irwin.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Irwin; daughter, Sharon (Johnny) Wood; grandchildren, John Tyler (Aerielle) and Jordan Wood; brother, Roy (Peggy) Irwin; as well as, Mildred Irwin and Laural “Bunny” (Ray) Stephens. Noel is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Soddy United Methodist Church or the Soddy Daisy Food Bank.

Services will be held at Soddy United Methodist Church on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Todd Kingrea presiding. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services. Burial will follow at Varner Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the funeral home.
