Myra Louise Bickford Gober

Myra Louise Bickford Gober, 93, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on May 26, 2017, at Soddy- Daisy Healthcare Center. Myra was born in Bledsoe County on April 30, 1924, to the late Ardle Joseph and Phoebe (Hale) Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her husband Clinton C. Bickford with whom she raised three sons, and her second husband, Porter K. Gober. Myra was a homemaker and a gifted seamstress. She was a member of the Church of Christ and spent her twilight years as a resident of Martin Boyd Christian Home where she was cherished by staff and residents alike. Myra is survived by sons Jerry Clinton Bickford, Donald Wayne Bickford,
and Ralph Bickford; grandchildren David, Laura, and Heather; and sisters Fran Wilhelm and Alice Hale.
The funeral service will be Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Jerry C. Bickford officiating. Burial will be in Walling Cemetery, Spencer, Tennessee. Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
