Michael Sneed

Michael Dane Sneed, age 69, passed away on May 1, 2020 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He grew up in the Soddy Daisy area and has lived in Hixson since 2013.
He retired from DuPont after 21 years of service at various plants in several states. He later began a new career with Interchange Group in Harrisonburg, VA where he worked several years before retiring and moving to Hixson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rada Scarbrough; father, Emmett Sneed; brother, Homer Sneed; and sister, Fayerene Harvey.
He loved the outdoors, planning projects to show off his handiwork, and most of all planning vacations and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Faye; son, Christopher (Danielle) Sneed; daughter, Stacie Sneed; grandsons, Seth Chastain and Nathan Sneed; sisters, Darla (Robert) Ware, Judy Syngle, and LeeAnn Harper; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 519 E 4th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403.
