Lucille Shipley Ewing

Lucille Shipley Ewing, 97, of Sale Creek, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.  A native of Meigs County, she lived in Sale Creek for 85 years.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Lucille loved to garden and to cook.  She took great pleasure in her home and her flowers.  She was an avid fisherman.  Lucille was preceded in death by her husbands, Truitt Shipley and Billy Ewing, Sr.; daughters, Jo Holloway and Patsy Shipley and son, Tommy Shipley. 

Survivors are her children, Bill Shipley (Freida), Martha Cates (Larry), Debbie Hill (Warren); 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David Haynes officiating.  Burial will follow at Spivey Cemetery in Dayton, Tennessee.
