Lucille Beene Burchard, 86, passed away on October 8, 2020. She retired from Soddy Daisy High School where she was a baker in the cafeteria for over 30 years. She was of the Baptist faith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother aka “Maw”. She was an inspiration to all the neighborhood children.
She is preceded by her husband, Taylor Burchard and sisters, Mary Agnes Burchard and Mabel Creasman.
Survivors are her children, Debbie Eustice, Larry (Carla) Burchard, Terry (Sherri) Burchard, Gerry (Sheila) Burchard, Steve (Bonnie) Burchard and Angie Burchard; grandchildren, Valerie Hunter, Anthony Burchard, Zach (Paige) Burchard, Elish Burchard (Aaron), Josh Burchard (Amanda), Crystal (Aaron) Dishman, Victor (Shannon) Hemness, Austin Burchard (Olivia), Jarrod Burchard (Mandy), Jonathan Linebarger, and Dustin (Amy) Burchard; eighteen great grandchildren and a sister, Elizabeth Goins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Lucille’s honor.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga, Dayton for their loving care; especially Erin Lusk.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at the funeral home as well as from 10:00 to 2:00 on Sunday, October 11, 2020. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2020. Brother Dana Gravitte, Bishop Rick Smith, and Brother Lynn Carroll will be presiding. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dustin Burchard, Anthony Burchard, Zach Burchard, Josh Burchard, Victor Hemness, Austin Burchard, Jarrod Burchard, Jonathan Linebarger, and Daryl Hunter.
