Leona Perkins

Leona Bowman Perkins, 90, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020. She was born December 15, 1929. Leona worked as a seamstress in several mills including Star-Knit Wear, Wellbreed and Soddy Hosiery Mill. She was of the Baptist faith. Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Earl Perkins; sisters, Dorothy, Lucille, Francis, Genevive and Betty; brothers, Marvin and Gordon and grandson, James Paul London.

Survivors are her daughters, Carolyn Neely (Doyle), Shirley Varner (Ken McCrary) and Sharon Frisby (Larry); sister, Luvenia Wilson; grandchildren, Sherry Bryant (Ron), Billy Davis (Shannon), Melissa Hyslop (Craig), Rebecca Cheney (Kirk), Tonya Martin (Bobby); 13 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private service.
