Leon Fredrick Torbett

Leon F. Torbett, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in his home on July 27th, 2022.  He was 76. Leon spent 20 years serving our country as an Aviation Mechanic for the Blue Angels in the United States Navy. Leon was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.


Leon is preceded in death by his parents, William and Juanita Torbett; brothers, William H. Torbett and Kenneth E. Torbett; sisters, Deloris Brookshire and Louise Rader.
He is survived by his wife Janice E. Torbett; son, John Michael Torbett; grandson, Michael Blake Torbett ; granddaughter, Alexandria (Tyler) Livingston; brother, Ray Torbett; sisters, Mary (John) Longwith and June Wood; several nieces, nephews and extended family.  

Visitation will be Monday, August 1st. 2022 from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Service will be held Tuesday, August 2nd. 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Charles Ingle officiating at Williamson and Sons Funeral Home. Internment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
