Larry Johnson

Larry Johnson, 72, of Chattanooga, TN, went home to be with the Lord, January 17, 2021. He was a member of Grace Pointe Assembly of God. Larry was a United States Marine Corps Veteran having served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He was a Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient. Larry was a life member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 203. He later retired from Carpenters Local Union 74.
 
His parents, Jessie and Beulah Johnson, preceded him in death.
 
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Diane Johnson; children, Crystal (Carl) Davis, Cecil Allen (Valerie) Johnson; brother, Cecil (Denise) Johnson; sisters, Barbara Adam, Wanda Stubblefield; grandchildren, Hollie (Devin) Carroll, Hallie (Austin) Geren, Olivia (Josh) Manning; great-grandchild, Lacy Carroll and Cooper Geren on the way along with several nephews and nieces.
 
Services will be 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Grace Pointe Assembly of God. Visitation will be 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors.
