Kenny Simmons

Kenneth Lamont Simmons, 62, went home to be with His Lord and Savior on Friday March 17, 2023. To know him was to love him. Kenny was known for his infectious smile, contagious laugh, and hilarious sense of humor. You could not have a bad day when you were around him. He would make sure you were laughing and smiling the whole time. He was the most loving and caring person anyone could be around, he would give you the shirt off his back even if that meant he was without. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. He was welcomed into Heaven by his grandmother Bonnie Belcher; sibling Robert Clinton Simmons and parents Rev. Aaron Clinton Simmons and Barbara Simmons.

Survivors are his wife, Ashley Smith; siblings, Rodger Simmons, Tammy Byrd (Bo) and Rev. Aaron Troy Simmons (Angie); grandchildren, John Austin, Jonathan (Cassidy), Haley (Jason), Katlyne; Greg and Beth; nieces and nephews, Misty McPeters (Brian), Jeremy Crowe (Lacey), Chad Crowe (Tiffany), Hunter Simmons (Katie), Daniel Simmons, Alexandria Brown (Dylan), Madison Simmons; several great nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Daniel Simmons, his Pastor Jon Varnes, Rev. Chad Crowe and Rev. Troy Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
