Johnie Stepp

Johnie Louise Daughtery Stepp, 80, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 25, 2023. She was of the Church of God faith and a member of Christ Family Church. Johnie was a teacher at Daisy Head Start Program for many years. She was a “Granny” to many and loved Thrift Store shopping. Johnie loved to draw and was a gifted artist. She lived her life as a caregiver to others. Johnie was preceded in death by her husband, Edward McCoy Stepp; parents, John Henry and Roberta Daughtery; siblings, Randy Daughtery, Mary Daughtery Hixson, Kenny Daughtery, Nancy Prater, Charles Davis, Helen Humphrey and Jean Loukowski.

Survivors are her children, Luther Gladstone “Stoney” Stepp (JoAnne), Susan Bartmess (Roger), Kathy Charles (James), Donna Legg (Tony), Edward McCoy “Rocky” Stepp, II (Tina), Ken Stepp (Tonya), Judy Newman (Jeff); siblings, Shelby Schweiger, Marcene Romesburg (Harry), Diane Early (Mike), Carolyn Delashmitt (James) and Terry Daughtery (Linda); sisters-in-law, Donna Morris (Bobby) and Linda Frost (Pat); grandchildren, Amanda, Crystal, Jenny, Stephanie, Tessa, William, Miranda, Jacob, Paulie, Trey, Joe, John, Sammy, Dylan, Casey, Megan, Grayden, Taylor, Evan and Mitch; many, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

The visitation will be on Saturday, January 28, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Calvin Nunley officiating.
