John Douglas Everett, age 57, a lifelong member of the Soddy Daisy community passed away in the early hours of Sunday April 10th.
John was passionate about family, public service, and most of all his relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He served the Hamilton County community as Deputy within the Sheriff’s Office for 15 years until he medically retired. John “little Doug” Everett had a kind spirit that filled a room. He will be missed by all his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Douglas M. Everett and Mary Lynn Card Jenkins of Soddy Daisy, grandparents and several aunts and an uncle.
He is survived by his wife Carleitha Everett; his children, Lacey Blaylock and Cody Everett; his grand children Lucas Green and Kingston Everett; his stepfather Ronald Ray Jenkins, stepmother Linda Raylene Everett; his siblings, Steven Everett, Brandon Everett, Shane Jenkins, Stephanie Smith, and Tonya Flanagan.
Visitation is Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services will be on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at North Hamilton Church of Christ with Travis Fridell and Steve Everett officiating. He will lie in state at the church prior to services from 12:00 to 1:00. Burial will follow at Card Cemetery.
