John Edde

John William Edde, 86, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Friday, January 1, 2021. A native of Nashville, he lived in Soddy-Daisy for over 40 years. John served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Norfolk Southern with over 30 years of service. John enjoyed square dancing, working on cars and in his garden and going to Wendy’s every day. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin and Nellie Irene Edde and sisters, Ruby Nell Moore, Betty Jean Allor and Mary Agnes Fagg.

Survivors are his wife, Jeanne Edde; son, John Scott Edde; brother, Richard Lee Edde; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a service at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the McKamey Animal Center.
