Jimmy Brewer

Jimmy Ray Brewer, 76, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. He was born in Polk County, Tennessee and grew up in Bradley County. Jimmy lived in Soddy-Daisy the last 37 years. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Jimmy was a 50 year member of the Masons first belonging to the Brainerd Masonic Lodge #736 F.&A.M. and the last 10 years in the Soddy Masonic Lodge #418 F.&A.M. He was a member in the D.A.V. Chapter 6 for 11 years and served as Commander for 2 years. Jimmy retired from TVA. He was a big fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt Brewer and Lorene Carpenter; sisters, Wanda Hampton and JoAnn Geren.

Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Shirley Brewer; son, Grant Brewer (Nikki); daughter, Tracy Brewer Keller; grandchildren, Tiffany, Tyler, Casey, Cayson, Callie, Maddie; 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Jane Chavis, Brenda Wallace (Frank); many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at National Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, November 28, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the D.A.V. or the Vietnam Veterans of America.
