Jerry Allen Harden, 63, of Soddy Daisy passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018. He was retired from McKee Bakery, and he served in the US Air Force. He was of the Church of God faith, and he was a published poet. He was a 29 year transplant recipient survivor. He was also the foster father of approximately 60 children. His passions were the Lord, his children, bowling, and transplant awareness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Betty Harden; brother, Ricky Carden; sisters, Barbara Robbins and Frankie Smith; and grandson, Ryan Whitt.
Survivors include his wife, Theresa Harden; sons, Stanley Harden, Steve Harden (Randi), Derek Harden, Benjamin Harden; daughters, Jacqueline Cordell (Ray), Kimberly Harden (Jacq); brothers, Eddie Carden (Linda), daughter-in-law, Bonnie Harden; grandchildren, Jeni Cordell, Kaylah Mays, August Harden, and Leland Harden.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Estelle Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. Visitation is at the funeral home Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
