Janice Marie Layne

Janice Marie McDonald Layne, 81, of Middle Valley, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020. She was of the Catholic faith. Janice retired from DuPont after 32 years of service. She adored her family and donated to people in need. Janice enjoyed to work in her garden and read. She was an avid seamstress and a master of the culinary arts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas McDonald and Jim and Iva Speir and her sister, Carolyn Brewer.

Survivors are her husband of 60 plus years, Donald Layne; children, Rhonda Layne (Danny Stubblefield) and Lynn Woodby (Don); grandchildren, Jordan Layne, Kayla Woodby and Danielle Fugate and other family members.

Services will be on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Phil O’Dell officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
