It is with great sadness that the family of James Ryland Riesz announces his sudden death on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the age of 68 years.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 14 years, Cynthia (Ballard) Riesz and his children, Jen Garon (Matt) and Holly Kuntz (Nate). Jim will also be lovingly remembered by his 3 grandchildren, Marcus, Haley, and Xander and his sister Kitty Ney (Enos).
Jim graduated from the United States Coast Guard in 1971 and served in the USCG until his retirement in 1991. He worked for the Federal Reserve Board until retirement in April 2013.
A Funeral Service in memory of Jim will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the Williamson and Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy Daisy, TN 37379 with Rev. Todd Kingrea of Soddy United Methodist officiating. The family will receive guests from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Jim by purchasing a tree or flower and plant it somewhere in his memory or you can send a donation to the National Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) 225 North Ave., FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
