Carson Qualls

James Carson Qualls, 91, of Hixson, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018. Coming from Oliver Springs, Tennessee he and his wife lived in the Hixson area for over 30years. He was a member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church. Carson served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He worked for Union Carbide for 39 ½ years. Carson enjoyed gardening, playing golf and camping.

Survivors are his loving wife of 71 years, Marie Qualls; niece, Charlenne Miller (Charles) and nephews, Warren Lee Short (Kim), Ray McGill and JW McGill.

Services will be on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David McNabb officiating. Burial will follow at National Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Navy. Visitation is Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
