James M. Farlett, 80, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was a lifetime member of the Church of God, working tirelessly in various church ministries. James served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked at DuPont for 35 years. James was a great handy man and could fix anything. He loved to spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Amelia Farlett, and younger brother, Alvin Farlett.
Survivors are his children, Randall Farlett (Elizabeth), David Farlett (Diane), Stephen Farlett (Patti); grandchildren, Lauren Farlett, Hannah Farlett Griggs (John Mark), Michael Farlett (Rachel), Tara Farlett, Drew Farlett (Becca), Jonathan Farlett (Amy), Sara Farlett Fayson (Tony), Rachel Farlett, Ryan Farlett, and Ethan Farlett; several great grandchildren; older brother, Wayne Farlett (Carolyn), and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Services will be Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bobby Scott and Dr. Gerald Holloway officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday before the service from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at National Cemetery.
