Gregg Warren

December 9, 1951 ~ May 29, 2018 (age 66)
Ira Gregory Warren, 66, died peacefully in his Sale Creek, TN home on May 29,2018. A Vietnam veteran who proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Gregg worked as an aviation mechanic, stationed on the U.S.S. Kittyhawk.
Gregg was born on December 9, 1951 in Chattanooga, TN to Ira C. “Poss” and Hazel (King) Warren. He was raised in Ringgold, Georgia and graduated from Ringgold High school before joining the US Navy. After his time serving his country, Gregg went on to work at the Tennessee Valley Authority as a Unit reactor operator. He retired in 2004 after over 27 years.
He is survived by his Wife of 24 years, Debra (Hubbard) Warren; his son, Dustin Warren of Sale Creek, TN, and Daughters, Amber Warren of Sale Creek, TN and Samantha (Matthew) Crisp of Dayton, TN and Trisha Griner of Sale Creek, Tn. He was the proud Papaw of 8 grandchildren: Michelle, Kiera, Abigayle, Layla, Justin, Katelyn, Shaylynn, and Nicholas. He is also survived by 2 brothers: Timothy (Lisa) Warren of Olive Branch, MS; and Van (Sherry) Warren of Euharlee, Ga; and 1 sister, Renee (Arvill) Lawrence of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Parents: Ira C. “Poss” and Hazel (King) Warren.
Gregg desired to be cremated and his remains will be placed at the National cemetery in Chattanooga, TN. A celebration of life service will take place at the Williamson and Sons Chapel on June 11, 2018 at 1pm. Funeral arrangements are provided by Williamson and Sons funeral home in Soddy, Daisy, TN. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alhambra Shriners Childrens Hospital or the Disabled American Veterans.
