Harold Quinn, Sr.

Harold B Quinn Sr. of Soddy Daisy left this world on December 28, 2017 at the age of 87 to be reunited with his beloved wife, Faynette. Harold was a loving father to Karen Yother, Sandy Card, and Brad Quinn as well as a supportive father in law to Rick Yother, Paul Card and Carla Quinn. His love for his children knew no bounds and was matched only by that of his grandchildren, Alex (Tyler) Berlin, Mack Quinn, and Sydney Quinn.
Harold was the son of the late Roy and Grace Quinn. He was preceded in death by his brother Jim Quinn and sisters Mildred Williams and Ercelle Williams.
An Army veteran, Harold retired from Dupont where he worked in maintenance as an insulator. He was a member of the Soddy Masonic Lodge and the Alhambra Shrine. During his active years with the Shrine, he was a member of the Bus Unit, taking area children and their families to Lexington and Cincinnati for treatment at the Shriners Hospitals.
A founding member of Soddy Community Chapel, Harold put many hours of labor into building the church and served in various capacities including Sunday School teacher and superintendent, and longtime board member. Harold loved his church, and he was loved and supported by them in return, especially his dear friend and companion, Annabelle Hatfield.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderfully caring staffs of Memorial Hospital at Hixson and Hospice of Chattanooga for the excellent care provided and for assisting their cherished father and grandfather in transitioning from this world into his Heavenly Home.
Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 2:00 with Pastor Dennis Parillo officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Refugee Assembly Church (194 Depot Street, Soddy Daisy) or Hospice of Chattanooga.
