Hannah Hensley

Hannah Odakay Sutherland Skiles Hensley, 87, of Hendon, passed away at home on Monday, July 20, 2020. She retired from DuPont. Hannah was born to George and Ada Bowman Sutherland on February 20, 1933 in Hendon. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, William R. Hensley and the father of her children, Carl Skiles; siblings; Harland, James, Edward, Hazel Cox, Delma Coleman, Georgia Swanner, Velma Arleatha Skiles, Betty Johnson and daughter-in-law, Brenda Culver Skiles.

Survivors are her children, Lebron (Pam) Skiles, Jack (Jenny) Skiles, Ernie (Karen) Skiles, Marsha (Roger) Downs, Diane (Terry) Hughes, grandchildren, David (Toni) Skiles, Crystal Skiles, Donna (Jamie) Thompson, Anna Sims, Jackie (Adam) Moody, Kevin (Angela) Skiles, Roseanne (Travis) Clements, Mitch (Kerry) Rose, Zach Downs, Betsy Downs, Adam Hughes, Tera (Ben) Byard, Kerry (Derrick) Dishman; 29 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Ruth Sutherland.

Graveside services will be on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. EST at Hendon Community Cemetery with Rev. Gene Welch officiating. Due to Covid19 the family request mask be worn and practice social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be to Hospice of Chattanooga, American Heart Association or the Kidney Foundation.

The family would like to thank the staff of DCI on Hamill Road for their care of mother for the past 4 ½ years and Hospice of Chattanooga for their care these past 5 weeks.
