Alice McAfee

Alice McAfee, 81, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, November 18, 2022. She was a longtime member of Oak Street Baptist Church. Alice retired from Kroger after 45 years. She loved her family dearly, cooking for them every Thursday night and the holidays. We will miss her pumpkin pies. She loved Christmas, especially our traditional gag gifts. Alice enjoyed making quilts and gardening. She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Gravitt; mother, Rose Gravitt; brother, Joe Gravitt and sisters, Pansy Allison and Jean Howard and niece Kathy Gravitt.

Survivors are her husband of 67 years, Charles McAfee, who passed away four days later; daughter, Sherry Skiles (Rick); grandson, Wes Skiles (Meagen); great grandchildren, Reese Skiles and Barrett Vastano; nieces, Regina Hixson (Donnie), Pat Howard, Kay Dobbs (Bob) and Judy Whiteman (Don); several cousins and extended family.

Visitation is Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Grant Chauncey and Rev. Alan Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at National Cemetery.
