Frances McClure

Frances M. McClure, 88, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. She was a longtime member of Middle Valley Baptist Church and taught Sunday School. She was very loved by her family and friends and was a wonderful caregiver to others. Frances adored her grandchildren and her dog, Sadie. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Gentry and Pirley Seals (William Earl Seals); siblings, Beatrice Banther, Dorothy Gifford, Jimmy Gentry, Ruth Adams and Charles Gentry and her husband, James V. “Buddy” McClure.

Survivors are her children, Paul Holloway (Betty), Robert Donelson (Julie), Deborah Leonard, Roy Donelson (Diana), Ray McClure (Sara), Jim McClure (Sandie), Carl McClure (Diane), Sheila Campbell and Steve McClure (Gina); half-sister, Janice Gentry (Bob); many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Mickey Bane officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Visitation is on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Middle Valley Baptist Church.
