Ernest McKinley Lasley Sr

Ernest McKinley Lasley, Sr., 98, a lifelong resident of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023. Ernest served his country in the U.S. Army 3rd Infantry as a medic and was a veteran of World War II. He retired from Independent Paint and Glass Company. An avid motorcyclist, he enjoyed going to motorcycle races and events and was a salesman at Pates Harley Davidson in Hixson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Lasley; daughter, Elaine Carson; son, Mac Lasley and siblings, Dorothy Buckner and Alvin Lasley.

Survivors are his daughters, Charlene Rushin (Terry) and Dianna Fox (Rodney); grandchildren, Laura Rushin (Shevy), Justin Rushin (Nicole) and Lana Devaney; several great grandchildren, nieces and extended family.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will be on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with military honors.
