Eric G. Farmer, 56, formerly of Dayton, passed away at home in Pikeville, Tennessee after a long battle with cancer. He was a proud veteran of Desert Storm serving his country in the U.S. Army. Eric worked 25 plus years in the alarm industry. He loved his family, music, golf, Tennessee football, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, James Hoyal and Nancy Juanita Farmer; parents, Alvin G. & Margaret Leone Farmer; oldest sister, Sheila Hill Dunn and nephew, Alex Farmer.
Left to mourn his passing are his loving daughter, Miranda Porter (Wesley) of Pikeville; sisters, Robin Cox of Hixson, Kim Devillier (Michael) of Dayton; brother, Ron Farmer of Carleton, MI; grandson, Kasen Allen-Gratton Porter of Pikeville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; longtime friends, Jim and Wendy Pugh and Mark and Shannon Cashman and many other friends and colleagues.
Services will be on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Visitation is 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday before the service at the funeral home.
